He didn't like having his picture taken maybe he was waiting for a kiss so that he could turn into a handsome prince. HA HA

New Toy

The countdown continues to our first wedding of the season this Saturday. We are really looking forward to it and to celebrate we have a new weapon in our photography arsenal. A macro lens, for those of you that don't know what a macro lens is, have you ever seen a picture of a bug and it's eyes are huge, that would be a macro lens. Another way to put it is a lens that gets awesome super close up pictures. For an example check out the video on your homepage http://www.ydywphotography.com/. It's always fun getting a new toy to bad they are so expensive..lol but well worth every penny. The close up pictures we can take with this are going to blow the bride and groom away and I can't wait to play with it more. Be on the look out for some wedding pictures on Sunday to appear. Hopefully it doesn't rain.

We are now on My Space

Your Day Your Way Photography has created a MySpace page. http://www.myspace.com/yourdayyourwayphotography make sure you stop by and take a look. Not really sure what to do with it yet but here it is. We may possibly have another wedding to shoot in June. Rcvd a phone call last night from someone who was looking for a photographer for her daughter's wedding in June, phone convo went well, she is going to call us back to set up an appointment to talk to us one on one and to take a look at our portfolio. So let's hope bloggers that they book us.... Here are a couple of more pictures from our Amish Hunting expedition on Saturday.

Amish Hunting

Even though we have a wedding coming up in 2 weeks and should of been preparing and making sure we were ready we decided to go what I call "Amish Hunting". For those of you not familiar with Norther Indiana we have several areas that are packed with Amish. I have always had a fascination with the Amish Community and have therefore always loved going out Amish Hunting, hoping to get that one great picture of someone out in a field working with the old farm machinery that hasn't been used in over hundred years. Well we got sort of lucky today and came across a young Amish man hitching his horses up to a manure spreader, yeah nothing fancy or exciting but it was for me. If you have never been Amish Hunting I highly recommend it sometime.

Countdown Begins

The countdown begins to our first, of many we hope, weddings of the season. May 17th is the big day for Sean Everett and Erin Carnes. A smidgen worried as we checked the weather and it looks like the odds are in our favor for RAIN that day and it's an outdoor wedding. Hopefully Mother Nature holds it off for our late afternoon wedding. I am sure the couple is very excited and looking forward to their big day. Attached is a one of their engagement pictures that we took last summer down at the Japanese Garden here in South Bend. 16 days and counting..........
